  1. My Mother made the most generous and kind decision when she was 21 to give me up for adoption. It was no doubt the hardest decision to make at that time but there were no other choices. Having my own children now I can only but imagine the heartbreak. Mothers Days spent wondering about where I was and was I safe… and for me always a moment of thought for her bravery. She has never stopped being my Mother. I was adopted by my Mum and Dad into a loving and wonderful family. I have no regrets, no blame and no negative feelings towards my Mother. We met when I was 16. We have since brought our families together and now share Mothers Day as a blended family, my Mum, my Mother and our families. Life can be hard and cruel but also kind and wonderful. How lucky am I.

  2. There are so many wonderful memories to choose from, but a particularly wonderful moment was getting off the plane after a long year overseas and what felt like the world’s longest flight, to see the dainty figure of my Mum at the greeting gate, waiting to hold me in her arms. I sobbed like a baby – happy tears – while Mum patted my back gently and said “there, there, sweetheart, welcome home.” Love you so much Mum xx

  3. Plenty of precious memories when my Mum was looking after my lovely nieces @ her house and plethora of fond memories
