  1. When I became a mother myself, even though my relationship with my own mother had been really difficult for most of my life, she came over (we live in different countries) to be there with me during scans, and flew in days after I had given birth to make me hot milos and toasted cheese sandwiches to my hearts desire!! She was never lucky enough to have her mother in her life (she was 4 when she passed away) so I know she did the best she could!! I will be forever thankful to her and this year particularly, wish more than ever I could spend mothers day with her. It is amazing what a pandemic can make you realise about yourself and your relationships ❤❤

  2. My favorite thing I remember my mom saying is, ‘I love you, and remember who you are.’ She said this every time I left the house. This helped me at school or with friends to make good decisions and stand for the right. I was always blessed with extra strength to stand tall through adversity because I knew I had the love of my mom and my Father in Heaven.

  3. I organised my mum’s 80th birthday last year for the whole extended family. Everyone came and it was such a special moment when we all sang happy birthday to her and then gave speeches about how important mum has been in the lives of us 5 kids and her grandchildren. I’d love to spend a special time again with her at a High Tea not worrying about having to organise anything.
