Calling all Queen fans! This musical will immerse you in a spectacle, celebrating all things Queen and Freddie Mercury. Anticipate big sound, huge screens, crazy lighting, and outlandish costumes as the show recreates and amplifies Queen’s legendary 1986 World Tour concert.
RAW COMEDY QUEST

The Classic
After many months of competing, we’ve finally reached the semi-final shows of the Raw Comedy Quest. You’re guaranteed to see fresh material from future comedy stars. Past semi-finalists include Guy Williams, Melanie Bracewell and Donna Brookbanks. The finale is on the 28th of this month.
SYMPHONIC DANCES
19 October
Auckland Town Hall
Auckland Philharmonic Orchestra perform three distinct pieces. Firstly the Symphonic Dances by Rachmaninov, an excellent encapsulation of his previous works and distinct style. Secondly, Mendelssohn’s refreshingly immortal Violin Concerto, followed by Prokofiev’s tribute to Haydn, a gleeful appropriation of 18th-century music and signature wit.

The Tuning Fork
The traditional Irish band draws influence from folk, jazz and Americana. Their masterful approach to sprinkling in improvisational elements and energy makes for an enchanting live performance. Some highlights include touring over 1,000 cities, contributing to The Lord of the Rings soundtrack, making it to the top of the USA NPR folk music charts and leading the Irish Music charts time and time again.

The spirited band formerly known as the Dixie Chicks, are back on tour. Naturally, they’ll be playing their hits as well as their latest album, Gaslighter, which received critical acclaim. Supported by four-time Grammy nominee Elle King, known for hits like ‘Ex’s & Oh’s’ and ‘Drunk’.

Watch the Sanderson Sisters and their wicked tricks, in this elevated Halloween treat. Join the Auckland Philharmonic Orchestra as they perform Emmy-winning composer John Debney’s score alongside a screening of this classic Halloween film. Rated PG, so you can bring anyone along for this bewitching event!
