Wine columnist and connoisseur DENNIS KNILL gives his views on two new wines from Pernod Ricard.
Pernod Ricard has recently launched Aces & Arrows Wine Co. The new brand includes two wines each with a different story produced by a different winemaker with grapes from a different region. Setting the wines apart was given to local winemakers from the North and South Islands.
Central Otago has a reputation for quality pinot noir with Aces & Arrows producing one of the best from the 2021 vintage. Renowned for style, complexity, and richness, syrah grapes dominate Hawke’s Bay.
If you’re looking for added variety at a reasonable price don’t pass on these two.
