Not content with being the nation’s political capital, Wellington is Aotearoa’s craft beer capital and our movie mecca to boot.
Te Papa’s head of retail, Tania Tupu, works closely with curators at the national museum, and artists from across Aotearoa, to produce bespoke items which reflect the unique experience that is Te Papa.
In March 2018 Te Papa expanded its creative offering to the public of New Zealand with the opening of Toi Art – a new gallery space spanning two levels of the museum, and a pivotal addition acknowledging the importance of creativity within our culture.
