From increasing energy levels to encouraging radiant skin and improving overall wellbeing, a good night’s sleep is essential.
The experts at BedsRus may have just cracked the code to a perfect night’s sleep with their new bed-matching technology, Sleepmap. It uses pressure mapping technology to match individual sleepers and/or couples with the best bed according to their unique sleep profile. We sat down with Steph Thompson, marketing manager at BedsRus, to learn more.
What’s Sleepmap all about?
As a brand we are really passionate about finding Kiwis their best sleep. Sleepmap is here to help Kiwis make confident choices when choosing their next new bed. We know it’s a big choice and your sleep quality depends on getting it right. An NZ-first bed-matching system, it uses thousands of pressure-mapping sensors to create a sleep profile unique to you and matches you with a bed from our extensive BedsRus range. It’s a free service and there is no obligation to buy once you’ve received your sleep profile.
Just how important is a good bed?
It’s essential! There is so much information out there and choosing the right bed can feel overwhelming. That’s why we’ve invested in Sleepmap – for those of us who are not bed-buying experts it really takes the guesswork out of choosing a bed. Most customers are surprised how easy it is. Sleepmap can also help with choosing the right pillow, which again is vitally important.
Can you outline the step-by-step process of using Sleepmap?
It only takes a few minutes. You are invited to lie down in your preferred sleeping position on Sleepmap. The sensors will capture your body’s unique pressure map and a sleep profile will be produced. Your results will be explained, and you’ll be shown where you are mapped on our Comfort Level System. Our sleep specialist will then pinpoint which beds fall within your prescribed comfort level.
What if I’m a front sleeper?
It’s important to let us know what kind of sleeper you are: front, side or back. Your sleeping position is one of the key factors in determining your comfort level. Some people can sleep on all three sides during the night. Our sleep specialists have the knowledge and expertise to help you choose the right bed based on your sleeping position.
Does Sleepmap still work for people who share a bed?
Absolutely – it works extremely well for couples. Finding the correct bed for one person’s profile is hard enough – can you imagine trying to find it unassisted if you consider different sleep positions and preferences for two people? It can make choosing a bed even more challenging! Someone often must compromise, meaning that at least one of you will not be able to achieve quality sleep. Sleepmap helps you quickly and accurately pinpoint what comfort level suits your – and your partner’s – specific needs. There are beds out there that can work for both of you.
How many BedsRus stores offer Sleepmap?
Twenty-eight national stores are now fitted with Sleepmap, with seven more coming soon. It’s about making the process of choosing a bed more accurate and beneficial. It’s also about giving as many Kiwis as possible access to information that’s going to improve their wellbeing. Sleepmap, like everything else we do, brings us a step closer to our larger goal of helping every Kiwi achieve wellness through great sleep.
