Just as each leaf, branch and petal grows individually and over time, so this artist creates each bud, leaf, stamen and tendril which come together in a manner similar to how a plant would grow and develop from adolescence to maturity. Retaining the visual idea while transforming the concept from wax and into cast glass comes from many years of learning the physical properties of each material and understanding the influences one has on the other. The glass crystal takes on the organic form almost growing and developing as the two hands signify the life and energy of our relationship to the natural world. Cast in lead crystal this piece is unique, only one exists. The artist is renowned for producing singular pieces of exquisite beauty.
