At Orakei Bay Village, we –like most landlords- are very much facing challenging financial times, with tenants who are struggling and hardly any foot traffic as this pandemic continues. It’s hard to see any silver lining in it all!
As we continue our journey into ever-changing and challenging times for businesses, creatives and retailers, we can’t help shake the deep sense of what we can do to help change their fate.
We want to give everyone an opportunity to kick start their business again, bring more customers to small New Zealand businesses, and offer a variety of goods and services that are locally owned and operated.
That’s why we are offering new businesses the chance to have a spot in Orakei Bay Village lease (rent and opex) free in Level Two and beyond. Our goal is to create a month long market with 30 or so new pop ups to compliment our existing 30 tenants. We even have space for a pop up hairdresser!
We will be temporarily rebranding Orakei Bay Village as Orakei Bay Market, and opening the doors to a range of businesses from the creative to the essential.
We want to connect with the community to make a powerful change to the retail landscape of Auckland – and we see this working by helping out retailers the best way we know how – by providing them the space and freedom to grow.
We will work with individual applicants to discuss their needs, our vision, and the benefits of this collaboration. We are looking for a unique range of tenants who are ready to dream big – anything is possible with the right team.
