It has become necessary to close Mortimer Pass between January and May 2019, which means there will be no road or pedestrian access during this time. This is in order for Scentre Group to fulfil important civil works, road upgrades and street beautification. Allocated detours during the Mortimer Pass closure are outlined in the map below.

Visiting Highwic
- Highwic’s main entrance at 40 Gillies Ave is still open
- Vehicle access is from the left-hand side of Gilles Ave only–opposing traffic can use the detour marked in the map above
- Vehicles must exit left into Gillies Ave, following detour signs for Broadway
- Pedestrians from Broadway should turn left into Gillies Ave from Morrow Street
