Founder Debbie Cavit is now entering her fourth decade at the helm and her passion for assisting clients create elegant living spaces radiates as brightly as ever.
“My greatest joy comes from visiting clients’ homes and seeing how many Cavit pieces they’ve collected and how they seamlessly work together, whether purchased 30 years or just three months ago,” Debbie tells Verve. “It’s so lovely that pieces and brands I’ve chosen to represent have played such an integral part of people’s lives.”
Debbie Cavit has strict criteria when selecting such brands and pieces: timeless design, quality of craftsmanship, and comfort. Three pillars that have stood her in good stead when sourcing the very best from around the world.
Cavit+Co has operated out of its new boutique showroom at 463 Parnell Road since January 2020, and Debbie says she’s greatly enjoyed the change away from the original large format retail store at The Foundation to now offer a far more tailored procurement service for her clients.
“We work closely with our clients in several ways,” she says. “Such as sitting down with them and their designer with floor plans to suggest furniture, lighting, floor rugs, artworks, accessories, and tabletops. We can also assist with outdoor furniture accessories and sculptures, all of which we then source, ship, and install.”
Cavit+Co also offers a service whereby they select everything from furnishings, to lighting, to glassware.
“For instance, we can recommend stemware and barware from the likes of Ralph Lauren Home, Lalique or Bottega Veneta,” continues Debbie. “We can help select bed linen from over 250 colours and patterns from Kohro, with superb duvet inners and pillows available in artic goose down. We have furnishings from the casual Verellen collection through to the most exclusive brand of Promemoria, with many in between like Baker, McGuire, Bolier, Baxter, or JNL.”
