Nu-Wall is an ecologically responsible product, with over 80% of their material composed of recycled aluminium.
Aluminium is the second most abundant metal in the earth’s crust and the recycling process only uses a fraction of the energy required to refine virgin aluminium. Nu-Wall has a carbon footprint that is 90% better than the global average of virgin aluminium.
As aluminium is a very light metal, the total mass of Nu-Wall required to clad a building is fractional compared to many other products such as fibre cement weatherboard.
The coating finish of Nu-Wall also offers several ecological advantages.Their finishes are applied in a controlled factory environment, therefore, avoiding the contamination issues that arise when paint finishes are applied on site. Additionally, the maintenance of Nu-Wall is limited to washing only – avoiding the painting cycles other cladding solutions require.
After a guaranteed lifetime of over 100 years, Nu-Wall cladding can easily be removed and fully recycled.
