6.30 am
Wake with my six-month-old baby Daphne for her morning feed, then a 20-minute meditation to ground and centre myself for the day.
7.00 am
Coffee, shower, and get dressed—which includes mindfully selecting my lingerie, setting an intention through the colour I choose. Today, it’s Poise Green for balancing emotions and hormones. Then for breakfast, it’s my usual green smoothie—whose ingredients are proudly sourced from my garden.
8.00 am
Breakfast eaten, school lunch packed, we stroll down the road for drop off.
8.30 am
I currently work from home because of Daphne. During her first nap I check emails and call with my business partner to discuss lingerie ranges or styles in development. We’re about to launch our second collection, so I’m working through campaign imagery that was recently shot and of which I’m incredibly proud and excited to release. As a brand anchored in everyday wellbeing, our new campaign celebrates empowered, confident women. Encapsulating the idea that being sexy is feeling comfortable in yourself, reclaiming sensuality from that ‘male gaze’.
10.00 am
Our team has working mothers who work together remotely, so it could be a meet-up or a phone call to check in on what messaging and content we are planning for social media or discuss website updates and new styles. During mid-design cycle, I’ll be doing fittings.
1.00 pm
Lunchbreak! Usually, a salad from what’s in the garden as I reflect on the morning and refresh my afternoon goals.
3.00 pm
Pick up my six-year-old son Ren from school and take some time to chat about his day.
4.00 pm
Our Sri Lankan factory has started its day, which means more emails Depending on the design cycle, it could be about a new style, approving lab dips or feedback on pre-production samples.
4.30 pm
An afternoon walk with Daphne for fresh air, exercise and to clear my head. Podcasts help me switch off—I’m presently listening to the Offline Podcast.
6.00 pm
Bath and bedtime for Daphne, with Ren close behind.
7.00 pm
Dinnertime with my partner, Matt who’s a fantastic cook. Then maybe more work, or watch an episode—or both. Currently rewatching Fleabag, it’s so smart and funny.
9.30 pm
I’m strict about being in bed by 9.30pm at the latest. I cannot go to sleep without reading first. I’m reading Love after Love by Ingrid Persaud. I love reading an author’s first novel and this has won a few awards and been recommended on many of the book blogs I follow. Also, one of my favourite authors and an absolutely beautiful writer, Andre Aciman called it ‘spellbinding’ which cinched it for me! By 10pm, I’m asleep, my phone switched to ‘do not disturb’ till 7am.
