Smoothies and juices are an easy and delicious way to get the nutrients you need; anyone with a blender or juicer can make one, and they can be whipped up between answering emails and attending Zoom meetings, making them the ideal WFH midmorning or afternoon boost!
Adding immune boosting ingredients like turmeric, citrus fruits, ginger, acai berries, and leafy greens to your beverages can take a healthy smoothie to the next level, helping to support your immune system while providing you with an energy boost!
Here are our favourite smoothie and juice recipes for this flu season.
Shine Brighter Juice
Ingredients
- 2 carrots, with the tops cut off
- 1 orange, peeled
- 3 celery stalks
- ½ handful mint leaves
- ½ inch fresh turmeric root
- ½ inch fresh ginger root
Method
Add all ingredients to a high-powered juicer. Transfer to a glass and enjoy.
Tropical Green Pina Colada
Ingredients
- ½ cup frozen mango
- ½ cup fresh or frozen pineapple
- 1 kiwi, peeled
- 1 cup spinach leaves
- 1 tsp spirulina powder
- 2 cups coconut water (can substitute coconut milk for a creamier smoothie)
Method
Add all ingredients to a high-powered blender and blend until smooth.
Berry Delicious
Ingredients
- 1 frozen banana
- ½ cup frozen blueberries
- ½ cup frozen raspberries
- 2 tsp acai berry powder
- ½ tsp vanilla essence
- 1 ½ cups coconut water (can substitute almond, coconut, or a non-dairy milk of your choice)
Method
Add all ingredients to a high-powered blender and blend until smooth.
Supercharged Chocolate
Ingredients
- 1 frozen banana
- 2 tsp cacao powder
- ¼ tsp cinnamon powder
- 2 tbsp rice or pea protein powder
- 2 medjool dates, pitted
- 1 tbsp almond butter
- 1 ½ cups almond or coconut milk
Method

Green Goddess Juice
Ingredients
- 1 bunch curly kale
- 4 celery stalks
- 1 cup spinach leaves
- ½ handful mint leaves
- 1 cucumber
- ½ lemon, peeled
