Tommy Hilfiger Set to Publish Memoir

Entrepreneur and maverick fashion designer turned author, Tommy Hilfiger, 63, is publishing a memoir to be released this autumn. It will cover his journey to the top of the fashion design world.

Coming from humble beginnings, Hilfiger grew his passion and love for design and ended up at the helm of a business empire and is estimated to be worth over 56 million dollars right now. The memoir is set to coincide with the 30th anniversary of the Tommy Hilfiger brand. Hilfiger covers the ups and downs of his journey as well as memories from his childhood and adolescence that forged his character.

He muses upon events that have shaped his life and his unique outlook on business.

We are introduced to Tommy Hilfiger the man, not the brand or the design genius. He talks through his beginnings at a denim shop located in Elmira, New York, through his success and eventual fashion empire. In a statement Hilfiger said, “Reflecting on my experiences in the fashion industry over the last 30-plus years has been a wild ride, filled with milestone moments that have defined both my career and my personal life.”
