Happy New Hair!

A new year, and a fresh start for many. Often this can come in the shape and style of new hair! Many of us look at ourselves over the Christmas break and by the time we say hello to the new year, we have decided we need or would like, a change. A new hairstyle, whether a cut or colour, or both, is a simple but extremely effective way to achieve that.

Summer looks are effortless and tousled, providing a seamless but effective look for great styling.

The Messy Pixie

A wonderful cut, if you have the right face shape, which can frame and let your finest features shine. This is also a great look for those with slightly finer hair and restricted by time, or if you wish to just go for the less structured look. Suitable for those more mature ladies, as well as the young. Think Michelle Williams and the very lovely Dame Judy Dench. It does take regular maintenance, probably four-weekly trips to your salon.

Side On, On Point

There are many great styles which incorporate an edgy look for those feeling adventurous. Consult with your hairdresser and discuss what would suit you and your hair the best. The unstructured side bob is a great look. One side shaved look, and hair is flipped over to create a longer uneven and textured look on the other side. Can be worn in multiple ways to create a fun and dynamic cut.

The Shaggy Bob

An undone bob, a shorter look that can hit just under the chin line or just above the shoulder. Textured layers provide volume and bounce. Can be achieved for most hair styles with a variation, but suitable for medium-to-thicker hair for maximum shag! Bangs can be added to give that finished look.

Boho Chic or Sleek

The super sleek longer cut, which can be parted in the middle for a sleek look for curled ends scrunched to provide a boho look. Great for longer cuts and styles. For a more tousled look, slightly curled ends for that messy carefree look.

Warm blonde, rich browns, fiery ombres and fashion colours from bolds to pastels, are all the trend this year.

Ultimately choose what suits you, what is realistic for your hair type and condition and then run with it and add a little spark into your summer for 2018!
